Mr. Nirat Pongsitthaworn, governor of Chiang Mai Province; Professor Dr. Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, president of Chiang Mai University; Professor Dr. Korakot Nganvongpanit, Dean of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; Assistant Professor Dr. Paramintra Vinitchaikul, director of large animal hospital and Mae On animal hospital; Associate Professor Dr. Kesinee Gatphayak, Associate Dean for Unit of International Affairs and public relation welcomed Mr. San Chau, CEO Nutri-san Pte Limited and the delegates participated in the MoU signing ceremony between Faculty of Agriculture, CMU and Nutri-san Pte Limited on “Utilization of Seaweed in Livestock Production”, led by  Assistant Professor Dr. Daruni Naphrom, Dean and Mr. San Chau, CEO Nutri-san Pte Limited signing on the MoU at Buares Kamthong room, the 5th floor, Office of the university, Chiang Mai University on May 9, 2024.

This MoU aims to promote excellence in education and research on seaweed products to increase the quality of livestock products, especially dairy products. Importantly, the seaweed products also help reduce the production of methane, which can be a greenhouse gas from dairy manufacturing. Thus, this cooperation not only enables education, research, and learning demonstration plots among faculty, students, and other publics, but also helps increase income from dairy products for farmers.
